and feeling refreshed! It was a beautiful week and as soon as I am not feeling so lazy, I will post a few more pics of our trip. If you have never experienced a Sandals Resort, I HIGHLY recommend it! Specifically for us, it was Great Exuma (yes, there is a "little" Exuma as well). The people are unbelievably friendly...we never had an employee of the resort pass by and not acknowledge us...amazing. We met some super nice couples there, as well....they didn't even mind hanging out with us "old folks"! We were definitely not the oldest people there, but certainly not the youngest either!
It was not uncommon for us to be sipping our first cocktails at 10:30 in the morning...a lot to be said for me, because I am NOT a big drinker. I already told you about the "Bahama Mama", but it was soon replaced by such drinks as the "Rum Runner" and my all time favorite, the "Hummingbird" (yummmm, like drinking a milk shake). Sandals resorts are all inclusive, so we ate our fair share of food as well! Needless to say, all that eating and drinking was exhausting, so other than a round of golf or two, we pretty much laid by the pool the rest of the time!
As much as I loved getting away...I am always happy to be home as well. Missed my babies and couldn't wait to see them! Thanks so much to my girls, who took care of things while we were away...LOVE YA!
I have quite a few things to share with you now that I am back. I am finishing up the second cane chair...which is totally different than the first one. We recently purchased a new King size bed and I made a new headboard for it...totally on the "cheap" and anyone could do it! Of course I have cookies to share as well.
Till then...Happy Baking!
There's a skinny girl who lives inside of me that's screaming to get out...I can usually shut her up with cookies!
Well, I see you have been in my "neck of the woods". Sounds like a great time. Congrats on 35 years-not many people can say that now days.
