A tribute to my girl!

Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my best friend...well, my best friend of the four-legged kind, that is. For nine years we came home to find her waiting patiently for us to return...tail always wagging! Bless her for staying strong just long enough for Ron and I to take our trip.

Over the years, she sat with us

She swam with us

And she even let me put ridiculous things on her head and never complained!

She was simply the BEST dog anyone could ask for.  Our Maxie...gone but never forgotten!

There's a skinny girl who lives inside of me that's screaming to get out...I can usually shut her up with cookies!

  1. So sorry the loss of your Maxie. She sounds like a true best friend! What a blessing to have shared your life with her and made such special memories. And I'm sure she was so happy to have been loved and cherished by such a great family. Take care.

  4. Well...

I have tears streaming, so I know how empty you must feel :(

Run free Miss Maxie, and go find my Robbie for a tug and a chase :)

  5. I have kept the tears to myself, but this just sent my over the edge. She really was the best mom and will be missed by all of us.

    Maxie will never be forgotten!!

    Love you,
    Miffie

  6. I am sooo VERY sorry for your loss! Our furbabies are part of our families - one of the kids - ESPECIALLY BOXERS!! They are the most loving, and FUNNY dogs! Our Harley just turned 4 (we've had him since he was 1). He is our
5th Boxer and our first male. NOT the "typical" male Boxer. He is VERY laid-back - probably due to the fact he was a "rescue" and is so happy to be loved and spoiled now. Of the 5 that we have had, 4 have been "rescues". I soooo love and miss them ALL. (just lost our Roxie a year ago-she was 10, and Harley's buddy):(
    May God heal your hearts.

So "sweet" of you to stop by...it makes my day when you take the time to tell me that you did!
