Happy Birthday to my little "Cookie"...

...also known as Taylor! Her older brother gave her this name when she was just a baby and it has "stuck"!  I may be just a little biased because after all she is my granddaughter, but seriously, but how cute is this kid?

Today Taylor turns 4 years old...where does the time go?!

She had her birthday party with some of her friends on Saturday and because there is a little more room here, we had it at Nana and Papa's house.

Remember the sneak peek I showed you the other day?  Can you even recognize those pieces now?

I can take credit for this creation, but not for the idea itself.  Of course it was Pinterest inspired!  I changed mine up a bit...adding tulle and various ribbons on the top piece.  In case you are not aware...most brass candlesticks come apart...they unscrew in usually two or three spots.  So I disassembled mine and "configured" it till I got just the right look.  I found the round wood blocks at Michaels for .59 each...glued everything with Gorilla Glue, spray painted it with primer and gave it a final coat with pink spray paint, added the little pearl trim (HL)and ...VOILA, instant cupcake stand.   I did not permanently attach the very top piece (which is also a round piece of wood that I purchased from JoAnn's) because it gives me the option to "change" it out for a different color, if we choose to later.  Whatch'a think?

Of course I must show you more pics from the party!

I made the cupcake "toppers" with a purchased download from ETSY.   Melissa made the popcorn "cones" with her Cameo.

Of course no party would be complete without Hello Kitty cookie favors!

Melissa also made the cute little favor bags with her Cameo...how cute are they?!

The birthday girl...with a goofy look on her face, lol!

Lemonade mason jars (also Pinterest inspired)

Fruit palm trees...yet another fun idea from...wait for it....Pinterest!  I have to say that we did come up with the idea of using graham cracker crumbs for the "sand"!

And no party would be complete without Hello Kitty peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!

And the deviled eggs on the table...the only food request from the birthday girl herself!!  Well, that and cookies...duh!
