I am as happy as a pig in...

well, you know how the saying goes! Before I tell you why, let me remind you that this is the last day to enter my little cookie giveaway! You will find the deets here.  For those that have already entered, don't forget to check back tomorrow for the winner.  I must be contacted within 24 hours or a new winner will be chosen!

Okay, where was I?  Oh yeah, the reason for my giddiness!  For whatever reason, something just told me that I needed to recheck the Phoenix Estate Sale list yesterday.  I had looked a few days earlier and thought that all the good sales started on Friday...wrong.  Clicked on one that was literally just up the street and found a tiny picture of the exact thing I have been looking for.  Wow, you have probably not seen me move that fast in a long time...luckily this sale did not start till 9:00 and it was only 8:00...I even had time to shower!

Are you ready?  This is what I found:

And in case you need another view:

Well, of course there is more to it than just this, but a girl can only fit so much in her convertible (which was quite a sight, btw) after all!  I am taking my hubby's truck back today (which I hate driving) to pick up the rest of it's loveliness.

I am in the process of redoing one of my guest rooms...bedding stays because it is not very old...everything else, is gone (an old 80's bedroom set)!  Just for "shits and giggles", my goal is to complete the room with refurbished, secondhand items.  I am well on my way, and better move fast because I have company coming in a week!  I already have some fun pieces to share with you next week, so be sure and check back!

Anyhoo, as far as this piece goes...I couldn't believe how lucky I got to pick up this awesome French Provincial dresser, especially since I heard when I got there that, they had had a 3 hour presale the night before!  Once they opened the doors, I ran through that house like a mad woman and did not see it.  Thankfully I asked because the lady said, Oh yeah, it's in sort of a weird spot.  It was at the back of the house, with a sheet over it and junk on top...no wonder it didn't sell, no one could even see it!  Their loss, my gain!

It is almost identical to the one already sitting in my garage...that one happens to be Kelli's.  I will say that "she" got a better deal (even though I was the one that found it months ago at another estate sale...her cost was only $60).  I had to pay $100...truth be known, I would have paid more!!

The hardware has already been removed and all the drawers have been cleaned with TSP.  I couldn't wait to play so one drawer is already done!  Ya gotta love the easiness of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (not to be confused with chalkboard paint)!  It's pricey, but worth every penny.  NO prep with this stuff!

So whatch'a think?  Does this piece excite you as much as it does me?  Probably not...but whatevs!

Now...go enter my giveaway to win some free cookies!

Have a great weekend!

There's a skinny girl who lives inside of me that's screaming to get out...I can usually shut her up with cookies! Photobucket
