A few cookies and...

some estate sale finds!

These cookies were some "pro bono" work for Melissa.  Taylor's preschool was having a Fall Festival and they were raffling off "theme" baskets...Mom, Dad, Girl, Boy and Family.  She asked me for a few cookies to include in each basket...easy peasy!  This is what I came up with:

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what cookie was for what basket.  Are you familiar with Lalaloopsy?  Probably not unless you have young girls around the house.  With the help of  SweetSugarBelle's tutorial, these turned out to be pretty simple!  Of course her's are absolutely perfect, which mine are not...but they were super fun to make and would love to have a reason to do them again!

On Friday I was off to an Estate Sale.  I went to this one specifically, because the pictures showed a table saw...something I would love to have!  I know...go figure, right?  Anyhoo, as it turned out when I called my hubby about it, he said it was too heavy...they make ones now that are not so heavy to move around.  Bummer, right?!

Well, never fear...I can always find something to spend my money on.

Kelli needs "new" bar stools for her kitchen island and look what I found!

A little worse for wear, but I snapped a pic (seriously people, how did we ever live without those things?!) and sent it to Kelli for her thoughts.  She loved them...duh, what's not to love, right?!  Little did I know but the corner of the cushion you see at the bottom, also went with.  Didn't matter...Kelli liked the look of them plain, so that is what we are doing.  These could be done later today...so stayed tuned for the reveal later this week.  Cost...$10 each!

Always on her "want" list is a glass covered cake dish...not sure why, but whatev's.  I found this:

Cost...$10

But wait, there's more!  While standing in line for the estate sale, I spotted this at the garage sale next door:

You know I have a Scrabble game obsession, right?

Don't judge...remember this cute idea in my guest room?

I cannot pass them up...this one was a real score for $2

So all in all, a very lucrative day...don't you agree?!

Till next time!

There's a skinny girl who lives inside of me that's screaming to get out...I can usually shut her up with cookies! Photobucket

  3. Love those cookies, but i found your site as I revisited your halloween decoration from last year. Did you make ones similar this year? or like me did you move on. I featured it at my craft site. Thanks
