Since it's Friday, I wanted to post SOMETHING, so we will go with an ABC Project. Remember this pattern that I showed you last week:
Well, I was able to replace these:
With these:
I did change the pattern a bit (no visual changes) to my liking but they really were a pretty easy project. There are shades on my windows behind the valances, but because we like having it open to the pool in the backyard, we rarely have them closed. These actually go across the back on three windows, including both family room and kitchen.
Because of the way the valances had to cut, I had enough fabric to make this to go under my centerpiece:
and 6 of these:
Total cost of the project, including fabric (eight yards), curtain rods (three) and rings was about $100. What'cha think?
Come back tomorrow, I promise to have pics of the Halloween cookies on a stick!

There's a skinny girl who lives inside of me that's screaming to get out...I can usually shut her up with cookies!
You did such a fabulous job! I even see some coordinating striped fabric at the top of your valances. LOVE the round and oval placemats. I keep meaning to make my own, but have dragged my feet (it's really hard to find oval these days). I'd love to see more specifics--did you put any batting between them, or just two layers of fabric? Thanks for linking!
ReplyDeleteLove those valances!! I bet they look awesome in your eating nook! Such a clever girl. You really need to start being a slacker like me. LOL I still have laundry in my washing machine from Wednesday. Uh oh!! LOL
