I saw something similar to this somewhere out in "blogland"...I would love to give credit, but for the life of me, I can't find the original post! I will say that it was not the first of it's kind that I have seen and I know it won't be the last, because these are a very cute and inexpensive project. I think it would make a cute little hostess gift filled with cookies or candy.
I did change mine up a bit...the original one that I saw had another plate on top, but when I saw these cute plates and bowls at Target, I decided that a bowl would be perfect for holding jelly beans. The three pieces were between $1.50-$2.00 each. I went to my favorite Dollar Tree and purchased the infamous $1 candle holders! I chose to put what was actually the "bottom" of the candlestick underneath each piece...leaving more room to put things on the plates. I used E6000 glue to adhere! Easy Peasy!
Whatch'a think?
Now run, don't walk to your nearest Target because I have already seen some super cute summer plates in bright, fun colors!
I have a busy week coming up filling Easter orders...should have lot's to share! Till then...happy baking!

There's a skinny girl who lives inside of me that's screaming to get out...I can usually shut her up with cookies!

Love it! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteTarget has these awesome plates & bowls out for the season, in aqua, yellow, beige, rust w/ a Moroccan type flare. I got those to make this project out of so that I can have this for all seasons! They are made of the same material and same price point =D The Beige, is a bit darker like a Ivory on Mocha, I don't know but it's gorgeous and would be great for almost all table ware.
