I guess this is as good a day as any...

...to work on a project!  Here's why...

A while back some *%#@ jerk decided he/she had nothing better to do that day than to "key" the side of my car.  My car is black...the key marks were so far down they were white...not pretty!  Not only were there multiple lines, it extended off the driver door clear to the back panel.  How sweet of that person to make it that more of an expense for me!

Anyhoo, long story not so short, I am taking my car into the shop today to get it fixed...and I will be without wheels for TWO WHOLE DAYS!  Or should I just say, an eternity!  I don't know about you, but for me, just knowing that I don't have a car, makes me think of a hundred places that I really "need" to go!

Yesterday I had an "aha" moment and decided to have my hubby take me to Lowes to pick up the wood I needed for Kelli's dining room table project.  Why not make the best of an otherwise crappy situation.  God forbid, I would use this time to clean or organize!

Remember this table that I picked up at the Goodwill for about $25?

The top has long since been removed and the bottom part has been painted.  Now the real work begins.  So today, facing the frigid elements, (okay, not really since it is supposed to be 63 degrees here) I will go out into the garage and try to work some magic.  Wish me luck!

In between working on the table transformation, I also have a cookie order to be done by Friday!  I guess I will be making good use of my "stuck at home" time!

There's a skinny girl who lives inside of me that's screaming to get out...I can usually shut her up with cookies! Photobucket

how awful, what a coward to do such a thing. I would be devastated if that happened to my car.
Glad you have stuff to keep you busy for the next two days. ABC stuff and more! :)

  3. Oh no! Sounds like "whoever" did a good job on your car. Why are people so mean (or jealous)? I too would go NUTS without wheels, but I see you are taking full advantage of the situation. Can't wait to see what you have done with that table. I know it will be VERY cool.
