...I would like a project to go off without a hitch! But in true "Terri" fashion, it just ain't goin' to happen!
Let's take a trip down memory lane...do you remember this little headboard I bought ions ago?!
Totally 70's...but I loved it and saw it's potential! Trust me when I say, this headboard has been refinished for MONTHS and sitting in my garage waiting to "move in"! The plan from the beginning was to use it in my second guest room! It took having company coming to get my butt moving to finally pick out new carpet (I really wanted a nice laminate hardwood floor, but I wasn't into tearing out tile in the two bathrooms that were in these rooms...lazy, I know!)
Anyhoo, got the carpet last week (company coming today...nothing like waiting till the last minute, huh?!) Let me just tell you...I was ready to decorate this room once the carpet was done. I had refinished ALL the furniture for this room, and it too, has been sitting in my garage...waiting! I have even had the bedding for months.
So here is where the "hitch" comes in. This is what the bed looks like on my newly stenciled wall:
Can you guess my little "problem" (no, not the wrinkled comforter...although that is driving me nuts too)? Oh trust me...there is one! I am sure you can easily figure it out, but just in case you can't, I am going to tell you! But not today...your are just going to have to stay tuned....don't worry, I won't make you wait long!
Till next time!
I like it, do you think the grey is too dark?
ReplyDeleteDo you think it fights with the wallpaper? A bit too dark? You could add some throw pillows on the bed to pull in the red and the lighter color on the wall. Can't redo the wall... IT IS BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteWell, I am thinking that once you add the pillows on the bed, the beautiful headboard will be covered up.

ReplyDeleteYou need to make that headboard taller dear so the pillows don't cover all the pretty up. It looks great though! Nice restful colors and pattern. Very hip and happening too. Great job girlie!

The suspense is killing me. I don't see a problem other than like someone else mentioned it will get covered up by the pillows. So my guess is the mattress is too high. I love how you painted it.
