Because every rooms deserves a little "bling"!

So you have probably all picked up on the fact that I LOVE Pinterest.  Not only have I found some amazing recipes on there (many that I have already tried) but you can get great decorating ideas (my Witch Wreath, for example), party ideas, painting tips and lots of tutorials for various projects as well.

It was on Pinterest that I first saw this beauty:

Now mind you, this INCREDIBLY talented person paints these!  And let's be honest, as much as I LOVE my Kitchen Aid (don't know how I went the first 53 years of my life without one), and no matter how badly I would love to be able to paint this on it...it just wasn't going to happen.  I guess I could have had her do it...for a cost of $200+, but that wasn't going to happen either.

In checking out her website however, I did discover that she also sells these designs (and yes, there are more) in vinyl also.  At a much more "budget" friendly cost...$25-$30.  But wait...did she say vinyl?  You know where this is going, right?!  Yep, got out the vinyl and my Silhouette and created this little piece of Heaven:

So simple!  Just to make sure there was no hidden grease on the Kitchen Aid that might prevent the vinyl from sticking well, I went over the entire thing with spray cleaner.  It was amazing how easy the vinyl stuck to it (occasionally the vinyl can be a bitch bear getting it to stick to certain surfaces...just ask Melissa when she was recently applying it to her glass beverage dispenser).  Because it is vinyl you can still easily wipe it clean.   The best part...when I am tired of this design, I can easily remove it and cut another or leave it off completely.  Cost?  The design purchased from Silhouette was $.99 and I used probably a $1's worth of vinyl!  VOILA...easy peasy and cheap...my two favorite things!

One more peek as she sits in her place in the kitchen:

Whatch'a think?

A lot to share next week, hint...Halloween costumes are done!

Have a great weekend!

Is silhouette the same thing as Cricut? (I am not a crafter, so I don't have either). Do you know if you can buy anything like this premade at michaels or hobby lobby...?

Enjoyed reading this....first time I stopped by!
