Halloween is almost winding up, so other than my grandkid's dressed in their costumes tomorrow, this will be the last of anything "Halloweeny" for me till next year!
First, I have to share this picture of my Taylor. It was recently "Crazy Hair" day at her preschool and Melissa wanted to come up with something exceptional...I think she rocked it, what do you think?
LOVES me some candy corn!!
And last but not least, the last of the Halloween cookies for this year. Taylor's preschool gets to celebrate Halloween (Thomas' class gets a party, but no Halloween theme) so we decided some cute pumpkin cookies were in order. I saw these on "Klickitat Street's" blog and since she was kind enough to share a little tutorial, I managed to come up with these:
She provided the cutest little face templates and I couldn't resist. The faces are royal icing transfers, which I added to the "wet" orange icing (I believe she added with royal icing "glue" after the pumpkins were dry). The rest of the detailing was added at the end. I was quite pleased at how they turned out.
Whatcha' think?
Don't forget, costumes tomorrow and later this week, I should have one, possibly two reveals. And let's not forgot my finds at last weeks estate sale!
Till then....
There's a skinny girl who lives inside of me that's screaming to get out...I can usually shut her up with cookies!
