What's new?

Since I was here last, things got a little hectic!  Melissa and her family came from Denver to spend their spring break in the warm sunshine!  Good ol' Arizona, did not disappoint!  The kids swam until they looked like prunes...it was nice to see our pool get used like it was meant to!

Not a lot of cookies were made in those 10 days, but here are some since I posted last!

These are "sample" St. Patrick's Day cookies that I made!  I loved making these, but let's be honest...unless you either ARE Irish or know someone close to you that is, there isn't a lot of demand for these cookies!

A BIG thank you to all of you...

that took the time to either leave a comment or contact me via email!  It is nice to know that someone still does stop by, although I could not blame anyone for giving up on me after such a long hiatus!

I understand everyone's frustration with leaving a comment here...I believe I have rectified that.  As I explained in a few emails, I was getting so MANY SPAM comments on my blog, I had changed the format so that "cyber robots" could not leave comments, but apparently it discouraged others from doing it as well.  I have changed it back, so it should not be a problem anymore...for those that did have issues, I hope you will take a minute to try leaving a comment to see if I have fixed the problem.

I was so happy to see I still had readers who took an interest in my little blog!  I also encourage people to find me on Facebook and Instagram as well...still Fresh Cut Flours for both!  If it's not your "thang", I get it!  Believe me...I am sure I was the last person to join the Facebook party!  I always swore I would not do it, but here I am...all for the love of sharing my passions...cookies and ABC Projects!

We added a new member to our family when my daughter Kelli, took home this little guy!  Meet Bruschi...

He is the cutest little white boxer...if you look closely you can see how much lighter is right eye is that the left.  He is now 7 weeks old...the best part, he can come visit but then I can send him home for her to train!

And in case you can't tell just how small he is...here he is next to Uncle Otis:

Sadly, we had to have our little Lucy put down a few days after Thanksgiving.  We knew the time would come eventually because she only had one good kidney...it still broke our hearts.  I think Otis gets pretty lonely without his sister around...at least now he will have someone to play with occasionally!

And last but not least...a project that has been in the making for about a year and a half.  I think I shared this OLD wooden tool chest that I purchased from an Estate Sale.  This is the condition it was in when I brought it home:

Yep...it was one hot mess, to say the least!  I loved how all the drawers had little compartments, but it had old, nasty green felt...needless to say out it came!  I removed the hardware and spray painted it black.  I also added cute little "bun" feet.

Wouldn't this make an amazing jewelery box?!  Well, if one were lucky enough to have that much jewelery!

As much as I LOVE this piece, I think I am going to sell it...it does look pretty cute in my living room, however!

Hello...

These are among some of my favorite cookies, ever (just sayin').  Kelli's friend, Meredith came to town for a "cowgirl birthday weekend"...so of course, cookies were in order.

And it wouldn't be complete without the perfect packaging!

Football cookies...also for a birthday (how about them Cardinals, 6 and 1?!)

These were cookies that I did for a benefit called "Go-Bo Foundation".  It is a huge bake sale held in Wisconsin.  It was two weekends ago and can you believe they raised $25,000...dats a lotta cookies!

You  could pick most any "theme" of cookies to do, but they asked that every donation include one butterfly!

Next, it was time to do start some Halloween cookies...and if you know me at all, you know that I love all things Halloween.  I made these "hanging" cookies:

About this time it was off to Denver!  I made "Wolfpack" cookies for Thomas' football team!

While we were there, Melissa and I were going to a "witchy" Halloween party...so I decided something girly was in order!

Kinda cute, huh?!  Had a ton of fun with my airbrush, as you can see!

And because I am sure you are on cookie overload right about now, I am going to stop there.  I PROMISE to be back by Friday to share the rest of this year's Halloween cookies!

I was a little surprised...

...at how far I had to go back to find my last cookies that I posted.  Bad blogger!

Anyhoo...here are just a few that I have done since I actually last shared cookies!

Some simple sailboats!

The "ABC" in this set was inspired by Pam of Cookie Crazie...cute idea, right?!  I did quite a few teacher gift boxes with this design!

For those of you that don't know...this is "Sparky", the ASU mascot.  When I purchased this cutter, I bought it for it's original purpose...a shark's head ( picture this cookie upside down and then you will see it!).  When Kelli saw the cutter, she thought it was for Sparky, so what's a cookier to do...make it happen!  Kudos the her for coming up with the idea...it will be a huge hit in these parts!

Speaking of Kelli...one of the girls in her "Bacholor Night" group, is having a baby.  They decided finale night should have a little baby shower theme.  Done!

And last but not least...who can forget Strawberry Shortcake?!  She was around when my kids were little...it's nice to see some things never go out of style!

It's been a hectic 2 weeks! 

A lot of Easter cookies left this house!  Speaking of Easter...hope you all had a nice one!  I spent mine decorating 4 dozen cookies!  No need to feel sorry for me...it was just my hubby and I this year and it actually seemed like any other Sunday around here!

Let's get you up to date!  Hands down, one of my best clients, Corie (and her Mom) ordered these little Easter bunnies and eggs.  This platter was a huge hit on Instagram...of course, who doesn't enjoy a cute "bunny butt"?!

Christy actually ordered two platters for Easter, but for whatever reason, I only snapped a pic of one:

Lovin' all the spring colors!

It seems the paint pallet cookies are a huge hit right now.  These were the ones that I was decorating on Easter...3 dozen in all:

I do have to say...these bright colors make me happy as well!

And last but not least...another big rage...foxes for a baby shower!  Who knew?!

Shannon sent me a picture of the invite...how cute is that?

This is what we went with:

The wood grain was airbrushed on and unfortunately does not show up well in the picture.  The little fox heads were hand cut!

So that pretty much sums up my week leading to Easter! 

The day after Easter, this happened:

Yep...we headed to Disneyland!  Please pardon the blurriness...clearly they wanted you to order their picture, so they were not real concerned about taking pictures with your phone!  This was the "Character" Breakfast at the Disneyland Hotel.  The food was great...the characters were a bit lacking (except Goofy, of course!).

We had a great time...perfect weather and lots of laughs!  My granddaughter, Taylor (left bottom) was even able to "sneak" on California Screamin'...she was a little too short and they turned her down on her first try, but with a little "distraction" she made it on the next day!

Fun times for all!
