Happy Halloween!

Can you believe I made it back so soon?  I even surprised myself!

As promised, I will share the rest of the Halloween cookies that I made this year...as well as a few others!

First, Minnie and Mickey cookies for a family that was headed to Disneyland!

A fall themed first birthday...love this idea!

I love cookies disguised as other food!  I made these "caramel apples" for Melissa's Halloween party this year!

You can turn just about any cookie into a "hanging" cookie...I think it makes such a cute presentation!  Thankfully, Hollie ordered some so I would have an excuse to make more!

Hands down, my favorite cookie of the season!  However, trust me when I say, I have a horrible time thinking "outside the cookie cutter"!  Some people can visualize a cutter in a completely different way...I usually do not have that vision.  For whatever reason...I did look at this simple "M":

And see the cutest little spider:

Right?!  I made a stencil using my Silhouette Cameo to make the background spiderweb and airbrushed it on the cookie first.  The rest was easy peasy!  Whatcha' think...kind of cute, huh?!  But wait, there's more...even cuter all packaged up with a tag!

I don't typically sell individual cookies, but these little guys were too cute not to!  $4 each, and these were a good sized cookie!

In between all the Halloween cookies, I made some birthday Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

Once again...cookies disguised as other food!  Love it!!

...make excuses!  I have dropped the ball on my blog and the fact is...sometimes life just gets in the way!

Anyhoo, I am back today with lots of cookies to share...I have been baking away since we last chatted!

I've done dinosaurs and I have to say...I was very pleased at how these turned out.  Adding detail with an airbrush, makes all the difference in the world!

I did two dozen Inspirational cookies...this is about half:

These were the first fall cookies that I did for the season:

More fall...that were made into 5 different "thank you" boxes!

I don't know about you...but I don't think there is anything cuter (and tastier) that  a box full of decorated cookies!  Who wouldn't want to receive something like this?!

And I will be the first to tell you that these are among my favorite cookies of all time!  They were so much fun to do!  I was asked to do "Disney Cruise" theme cookies so I decided to create everything on a Mickey Mouse shape...I don't want to toot my own horn...but I think they turned out pretty dang cute!

Cookies and such!

Since I last shared cookies, this is what has been in the makes!

What better way to start a Disney vacation than with Disney cookies?!

Just for fun...and because I could not wait to use a few new cookie cutters that I purchased:

Instead of "Desserts in a Jar" for this week's girls night (Kelli's get-together, not mine) I decided to do something a little different.

Burger baskets...cookie and cupcake style:

These were so much fun to make!  Tucked inside that cute little hamburger bun (yellow cupcake) is a brownie for the "burger"!  I colored store bought icing for the "ketchup and mustard"...as well as the "lettuce" which was actually coconut!  The ketchup for the fries is just my usual cookie icing!  Overall...a simple creation that packs a lotta punch...don'tcha think?!

Now, I am off to work on 4th of July cookies before meeting a new cookie friend, Nancy, for lunch!

Now for some non edible eye candy!

While I was in Denver, I had my "Mom to do-list".  First up was painting Taylor's bedroom furniture:

This is what it looked like when we started:

Such a cute set, but the downside...it's laminate!  Ugghhhh...time for some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint!  All dressed up in it's "Pure White":

Pictures cannot do it justice!  There were a lot of everyday "wear" marks on this set, but nothing that a little fresh paint can't fix!  We're hoping that the ASCP can stand the test of kids!

And the last piece I cannot even take much credit for!  I did find the instructions for this Farmhouse Table (Ana White) but Tom (my SIL, for those that don't know) pretty much did the rest!  My small part was staining it and helping to apply the first coat of poly!

And if it looks ginormous, that's because it IS!  This thing is 99 inches long!!  I said it would accommodate the  "Last Supper"!

This n' That!

This post has a little of everything.  Only one cookie order last week!  An unsuspecting family will be receiving these in the next day or two:

I actually forgot to post these from last week.  I found asparagus at an awesome price so I decided it was the perfect time to pickle some:

The recipe I use is from a family friend...it was originally a pickle recipe (which we also do) but my fave is the asparagus.  Random fact...this is the ONLY way that I eat asparagus...not a huge fan of it any other way! 

And, last but not least...some fun (and not so fun goodies that I received in the mail last week!  Not so fun, but a necessity, was this box:

 
Ya gotta have meringue powder to make icing, so when I buy, I stock up!  This should last me a while!  Whenever I purchase from the Fondant Source, I treat myself to some PME tips...they have the best price I have found (the meringue powder is a good price as well!)

Saturday's mail was much more fun!  This was my first time ordering from Truly Mad Plastics, and although there was a slight error in my order (even I don't need two of the same Minnie heads) I couldn't have been more excited!  (They quickly responded to my email and are sending me the correct cutter!)

Don't those bright pink cutters just make you happy, happy happy?!  Can you guess them all?

It's a WRAP!

At least for this year!  I finished the last of my cookies yesterday.  Well, except for the lonely, extra cookies that are still in my freezer.  They may or may not get baked...but they will surely be served "naked" because I am determined to make my kitchen counters free of icing containers!  It has been weeks since that occurred!

Now it's time to share the last of the Christmas cookies for 2013:

These were a light bulb moment for me...they actually came out exactly as I had them pictured in my head. 

Just in case Santa still wasn't 100% sure what to leave you for Christmas, you can leave him one last hint:

Complete with edible markers, my babies will be able to tell Santa exactly what was on their list!  Happy to say, they made it to Colorado without breakage!

These are probably my favorite "Santa Claus" cookies for the year...not that I probably have to tell you that:

I knew that when I saw this little guy on "The Baking Sheet" blog, I had to give him a go!  I couldn't resist adding a little holly!  These are be donating these to a local children's home.


And last but certainly not least...Christmas Disney cookies!  I don't want to toot my own horn, but these were so fun to do and probably rank on my, "Top Five" list,  of favorites that I have done to date.

Angela and her husband are surprising their four children with a trip to Disneyland for Christmas...what better way to do that than with cookies?!
