It was a "sports" kind of week!

I had two different occasions to make sports cookies last week. 

I did footballs for Thomas' party that was celebrating the end of the season.  If you have never seen a game that involved 5 year old's playing this game, you should really do so!  By far the most exciting kid sport in my opinion!

A friend of Kelli's from UofP also ordered sports themed cookies, only these were for soccer.

Soccer balls tend to be a bit tricky...my Kopykake came in very handy to keep the design consistent!

Happy Monday!

Well, another Super Bowl come and gone...I was so happy to see the Packers win that game...Pittsburgh stole the Cardinal's thunder a couple of years ago and I was glad to see them finally lose! It was a great game and it really came right down to the last few minutes, as it could have gone either way.

Here are the SB cookies that I took to Melissa's...I packaged them so that people could take them home...beer and cookies don't usually go too well together, so I figured most would take theirs "to go".



This week I will be busy baking for Valentine's Day orders that need to be shipped! I will be posting pictures of those cookies, as well as sharing a little organizational idea.

Are you ready....

for some football?! I know that I am!! Most people love to see fall for things like the changing of the leaves, the smell in the air and cooler temps...but for me it's all about the pigskin! I love those AZ Cardinals but last week they got their asses butts kicked...I decided to show a little more support by baking up some cookies.



Am I really pleased at how these turned out? NOT so much. You see, I do not have a cookie cutter for these, so I made a template and hand cut them out. Problem is, these babies are HUGE, a meal in themselves, really. I did not allow enough for them baking "up" as I like to say. Whenever I ice large cookies, even though they look fine when I get done...they always seem to look "wrinkled" when they completely dry. Note to self: New template printed much smaller!

Anyhoo, got a huge order to work on today and I will be doing so while watching the game. Have a great day!


ETA...it worked, they WON! It wasn't pretty, but they did win!

Ladybugs, Flowers and Footballs?!

This was my biggest challenge yet...120 cookies, all to be delivered at the same time. It probably seems like a strange combination since they were all going to the same company, but they were "incentives" and we had to consider the guys as well as the gals...so footballs it was! (Please excuse the poor photography!) I thought it would be more stressful than it was...glad I'm done though! Thanks, Rosemary!
