I'm baaaaack...

...and how about that, it was less than a week, even!

Short and sweet cuz' I got cookies to do!  These are a few I have done recently!

And all packaged up in these cute BRP basket boxes...love them!  Such a cute presentation, I think, anyway!

Four dozen of these spa cookies...kind of fun, huh?

One dozen chubby #2 pencils!

And because I had some cookie order down time...I made these little Emoji's!  I'm addicted to these little guys...the Emoji's not the cookies...although they are pretty stinkin' cute as a cookie, don't ya think?!  I did an Instagram giveaway for these!

A couple of weeks ago I made this dessert from a recipe I found on Pinterest.  

When I read the words "best blueberry cobbler ever and only four ingredients", I was MORE than intrigued!  If I am being honest, I can't even really tell you how good it was myself...I'm dieting and I did not even taste it!  I made this for Kelli's girl's night...but from what I'm told, it was da bomb!  And so stinkin' easy!  Here is the direct link Brown Butter Blueberry Cobbler.  

To be honest, I had never heard of actually browning butter for a recipe, but after doing it, I do feel that it was important element to the recipe.  You could really smell the yummy buttery goodness...and that was before it was even baked!  Seriously...the easiest recipe on the planet...you're welcome!

Ladybugs and Flowers...

...that is what Lucy, the winner of my recent giveaway, wanted as her cookies! I decided to go a little bold this time, and outline everything in black! I think it definitely makes all the colors "pop", which I love...what do you think?

I was very disappointed to hear that 3 of the cookies broke...my track record of late, has not been very good!  Up until recently, I had mailed several boxes of cookies without any casualties...it is definitely one of the "cons" about the whole shipping process in general.  I pack them as well as I can, mark the box "Fragile" and still it happens.  Anyhoo, I do know that even though they break, they still taste the same, and from what I understand, Lucy did enjoy her cookies!

For those of you that don't know, I am a self proclaimed  HGTV freak!  I love this channel.  Whenever there is nothing on TV (and sometimes even when there is), I can always count on HGTV to give me a designing tip or two!  One of my favorite people to watch is Sarah Richardson, I love listening to her cute Canadian accent...and her sidekick Tommy is a hoot!  She has had several different shows and the most current is "Sarah 101"...the other day they were redoing a "box kitchen" (all items purchased and no custom work, for you novices, lol) and this was one of the design elements:

I instantly fell in love and decided this must go in my craftroom...it is time for a clock change!  If I had already purchased that Silhouette that I keep saying I am going to buy, I could probably do this myself...but I haven't so I had to track down someone who would do it for me.  My go-to wall vinyl people are Dali Decals.  They have several, really cool premade designs to choose from, but they will also custom design just about anything you want.  This what they have come up with:

Whatch'a think?  Pretty cool, huh?  I don't have to use the circle in the middle, but it will probably help with the placement of the numbers!  I am just deciding on size right now.  Can't wait to make it happen, I LOVE this idea!

I am working on a good size order for Qwest today...70 cupcakes and ice creams, better get busy!

Ladybugs, Flowers and Footballs?!

This was my biggest challenge yet...120 cookies, all to be delivered at the same time. It probably seems like a strange combination since they were all going to the same company, but they were "incentives" and we had to consider the guys as well as the gals...so footballs it was! (Please excuse the poor photography!) I thought it would be more stressful than it was...glad I'm done though! Thanks, Rosemary!

A New Blog...and a GIVEAWAY!

FINALLY, I have my blog up and running. There are many, including myself, that wondered if it was ever going to happen! I won't bore you with details, but suffice it to say, it was not a particularly fun process. That being said, I love the look of my new blog! Other than a few "buttons" here and there, it is pretty much set.

Thank you to all my fellow "pea-ps" that tried to help me come up with a name. So many good ideas, but if you will remember, all the ones that I loved were already taken. It was at least another month before "Fresh Cut Flours" just popped into my head, and if I remember correctly it came to me while laying in bed at about 4:00 a.m....apparently when I do my best thinking!

Speaking of cookies...I baked these up special for my first blog post. Occasionally when I am bored I will go into my pantry, rummage through my cookie cutters and pick a theme! No particular reason, just to bake and brush up on my decorating skills! This time I felt the need to make flowers and use my newest ladybug cutter.









Since I did not really have anything to do with these cookies right now, I have packaged them up, put them in an airtight container and froze them (don't worry, these are not the cookies I am offering as a prize, lol). I have frozen baked, undecorated cookies several times, but I am told that you can freeze the iced ones as well. Won't it be great to just open the freezer and take out a cookie if I need a last minute snack for someone?! I'll let you know how well they hold up!
