A few fun finds!

Just a few random things to share today!

I don't know about you, but I pin a lot of recipes on Pinterest!  So many that my "Sounds Delish" board had to be broken down to "Sounds Delish Beverages, Sounds Delish Salads...and so on!

I'm am not going to lie, there have been Pinterest "hits" and Pinterest "misses", when it comes to recipes!  For instance, there are some things that are just meant to be deep fried...don't mess with it and tell me that the "baked" crab wontons are great!  No offense, but they really aren't!  You can save me calories by making my blueberry muffin bread low fat...but please don't insult my intelligence by telling me that baked is just as good as deep fried!

Today, I am going to share what I thought to be a "hit".  It's a salad, and who doesn't love a good salad, especially this time of the year when a lot of the time it is just too damn darn hot to cook!  Yep,
this is what I am looking at today...

Nope, you are not imagining those temps!  Did you notice our "cooling trend" next week, though?!

Okay, where was I?  Oh yeah a yummy salad that I found on Pinterest!

It sounds like this person made up her own version of a salad that she had in a restaurant...she did a darn good job of it, let me tell you!  Who doesn't love a salad that is a meal in itself...this one has it all!  Chicken, Bacon, Bleu Cheese, Bacon, Tomatoes, oh, Bacon, Avacodo and did I mention, BACON?!  Everything is better with bacon and because this IS a salad, it can't be that bad for you, right?  RIGHT?!!

Here is a pic of the salad...I didn't even waste time taking a picture of my salad, her's was purdy enough!!

Doesn't it just scream "YUMMY"?!  I have already had it three times since first trying it a little over a week ago!  Here is a link to her recipe..you can thank me later!  Typically, I cook my bacon in the oven, but one of the times I made it, I was feeling extremely lazy and just threw a couple slices in the micro!  And the chicken...if you don't want to mess with cooking fresh, any leftover chicken would work, even Costco's, Kirkland Brand packaged chicken breast pieces, tasted great!

Next I will share the fun little things that I purchased from Pick Your Plum.  Have you heard of them?  No?  Well, it is a fun website that, if you sign up for, will send you daily "deals" that most of the time you have to jump on fast...when they are gone, they are gone!  Watch out...it can get addictive!  These are the pieces that I couldn't resist;

This doesn't look like much yet, but how cute will it be when I stick little glass bottles in it and fill it with flowers?!

And this:

This could hold anything from napkins and silverware for a barbeque, to mail in your office...love!

And last but not least:

So fun...and this sucker is big.  So big that I haven't quite figured out what I will use it for...maybe extra cookie cutters?  I'm sure that I will find a use for it somewhere!

That's all I got!  Next week, some easy, yet fun 4th of July cookies!

Till then...have a great weekend!
