I bought myself a new little toy!

Don't get excited...it isn't anything really fun, like a new table saw or anything!

I just purchased myself one of these:

See...nothing earth shattering, but if you know me at all, you might know that I love gadgets and this one is a pretty fun one to have around!

How do I know?  Well, I have had one of these around for quite a while:

I just could not pass up the good deal that my buddy Gail from MYRepurposedLife, was offering a few weeks ago!  I am a sucker for a good deal!  The two main differences between the two, for those that are not familiar, is that the Cameo will cut a bigger surface space (12 x 12) AND it has a "pause" button for those few times you may screw something up while cutting...just sayin'!

BTW, I just noticed on her blog, that Gail is offering a new Silhouette deal now...can you believe you are now able to cut your own acrylic stamps?!  What the what?!!  Where was this option when I was a stamper?!

Anyhoo, even though I don't do a lot of cards anymore...one of my main reason to love this machine is for cutting vinyl...either for stencils OR vinyl decor itself.  (Be sure to check out Gail's blog...she has tons of ideas to use the Cameo for!)

You can do fun things like this:

Because even your beloved Kitchen Aid, that you could not live without, deserves some bling! (Do you know that I did that over two years ago and the vinyl is STILL completely intact...this thing gets washed down multiple times a week!)

Or you can do this:

This is the vinyl clock I made for my craft room...I am not even sure I have shown this before...but how fun is that?!  And yes...it is every bit as big as it looks!

Remember the bench I did a few months ago?

Yep...all the lettering was done with a stencil that I made with my Silhouette!

I even made the stencil that I used on my gingham check cookies (I used paper, not vinyl)

And most recently, I turned old art work:

Into new:

Just by using vinyl and scrapbook paper!

So see?  The possibilities are endless!  Now the only question I have is...do I get rid of my Silhouette SD...or save it for backup?!

I was not compensated in any way by Silhouette of America (I wish), all of the statements are my own personal opinions (and who gives a hoot about that, right?!).

Now I am off to Gail's blog to learn more about those acrylic stamps...till next time...

yay for your new CAMEO. I know you will love it for sure!!! I generally use my Portrait so often, it never leaves the coffee table. Yep, I have a dust cover on it, and there it sits.

thanks for the great shout out Terri!
